Iridology
What is iridology?
Iridology is a science that relates to the study of the coloured part of the eye called the iris, to determine potential health problems. Iridologists observe patterns and markings in the iris to reveal emerging conditions in every part of the body and to identify inherent weaknesses that may develop into physical and emotional disorders.
What can iridology identify?
Iridology does not diagnose a specific disease, but rather it is a very effective preventative practice that helps people to understand the root causes of their health issues so they can seek treatment, if necessary. Iridologists believe that if a health problem is detected at an early stage, much can be done to prevent it developing into a serious disease.
The idea that the eyes are a mirror to the body and soul is an ancient one and Hippocrates was known to examine patient’s eyes for signs of illness.
An iris consultation will show whether a person exhibits a generally good strong constitution or a poor one, depending upon the density of the iris fibres. The patterns, structures, colour and degrees of lightness and darkness in the iris tell if an area of the body is inherently strong or weak. It also reveals the sites of over-activity, irritation, injury or degeneration of the tissues and organs. Toxic accumulation levels can be observed as well as nutritional and chemical imbalances. The insight that iridology reveals about one’s personality is really amazing.
